Station 2 Assists The City
On Wednesday evening, as crews were wrapping up after setting up for the "Picnic In The Park" fundraiser, bells sounded for a working structure fire with entrapment in the City of Shamokin. Having a larger than normal crew on hand, Truck 2 responded with a full crew of 7 truckies, including Chief 2, and Engine 2 provided transportation for 8 more members. City crews were able to bring the fire under control quickly and Station 2 was placed on stand-by at the scene for about 45 minutes, then transferred to Station 30 and provided an engine crew and a truck crew for the city until their units were released from the scene of the fire.

Members will be busy this weekend as the MCVESA picnic begins Thursday at 6:00 and runs to 11:00. Friday from 6-11PM with a emergency vehicle parade at 7:00PM. The picnic runs on Saturday from 1:30 to 11:00 with fireworks at 10:00.
